It’s the time of year when we ask Venus listeners to make a pledge to CKUT 90.3 FM to keep us afloat for another year.
WHY?
Because CKUT is noncommerical, independent, volunteer-run and listener-driven.
Because we play what we want. Because we play what YOU want.
Because we make space for women, queers, sisters, girlfriends, ladies, chicks, lesbros, les filles, girls, wymyn, femmes, killjoys, sluts, ice queens, bitches, bitchez, butches and butchies, crones, witches, and very many other people you will never hear on mainstream radio, or anywhere else.
Because we’re committed to the local, the underground, the weird, the experimental, the utterly unmarketable.
Because we love what we do, and we want to keep doing it.
Because you will get SWEET GIFTS and be entered in a draw to win EVEN SWEETER PRIZES.

On October 31st we’re bringing you THEE 7TH (???) ANNUAL VENUS RADIO RADIOKE SUPERJAM, featuring local musicians, CKUT staff, and Venus friends and family singing their wee Hearts out on Air for your Mony Mony. We do this every year and it’s always a blast.

These shirts were designed and hand-tie-dyed by NOMNRYN of the Venus Collective, and printed by real local organic silkscreen artisans. WHAT ELSE DO WE HAVE TO SAY.
